Where We Work

BRHO currently operates across several conflict-affected and vulnerable regions, focusing primarily in Nigeria and expanding into neighboring countries.

Nigeria:

Borno State (Maiduguri, Jere, Bama, Banki, Kala-Balge, Mobbar, Ngala, Monguno)

Adamawa, Yobe, Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara States

Sudan West darfur

Our Strategy

 Integrated Approach

BRHO’s five pillars are not stand-alone interventions  they are interlinked. A child accessing temporary education may also receive food support, while their caregiver benefits from livelihood training and psychosocial services. Our work connects protection, health, education, environment, and resilience-building to ensure a comprehensive humanitarian response that restores dignity and fosters sustainability.

Ultimately, we protect people today while preparing them for tomorrow  building communities that are safer, stronger, and more resilient in the face of conflict, violence, and climate shocks.

Projects

In Monguno, BRHO is actively supporting displaced communities through mobile camp management, protection case management, and reception center management. Our mobile camp teams work in informal sites to organize settlements, improve access to services, and ensure that families live in safer, more dignified conditions.

Through our protection case management, we identify and assist individuals at risk, including survivors of violence, women, and children, by providing counseling, referrals, and direct support. At the reception center, we help manage the arrival of newly displaced families, ensuring they are received with dignity, registered properly, and provided with temporary assistance and links to essential services.

These projects together reflect our commitment to protecting people, restoring dignity, and helping communities on their path to resilience.
